Summer School 2026

The Summer School Application window closed on April 3rd at 3:30pm. Applications are currently not accepted.

If students earns a D/F grade in a CURRENT spring course for June 2026:

-Online Summer School Registration will be available June 5th-June 9th.  Check back here for the online application link, starting June 5th.

-You can also email your completed application to summerschool@luhsd.net or drop it off at the summer school office.


WHO:       Students who have earned a D/F grade on their transcript in a graduation required course.

WHERE:   Summer School is ONLINE (not in-person) with teacher support office hours below.

WHEN:     June 10 – July 2 (No School June 19 - Holiday)

                  Student course access is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

                 Teacher Support Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (4 hours/day)       

LIMITS:   Students can take a maximum of 2 semester courses in summer school. 

                 Courses are not NCAA-eligible.

                 Elective courses are not offered.

ONLINE PROGRESS (ATTENDANCE):

Distance Learning (not in-person) - Because summer courses cover extensive instructional content in a relatively short time period, consistent daily online progress is crucial. Students who do not participate or show positive progress for more than one day and/or have not completed the entire course may not receive credit for summer session class(es). - Board Policy / AR 6177
